I felt that he was very cold & unfeeling towards his wife, instead of supporting her in her pain, especially because she never even wanted kids in the first place. He wanted to hide the entire switched at birth situation, and didn’t want to meet the other family. ![]() It just seems so out of character for him, because he always wanted children & even tricked Gaby into getting pregnant by replacing her birth control. I know everyone grieves differently, and maybe Carlos’ way of dealing was to avoid it completely. Carlos & Gaby could’ve spent time talking about it alone, so she could heal. The child is important, but a healthy parent is too. Ok fine, make Juanita think Grace isn’t a part of their life anymore, but let Gaby grieve. He shuts her down anytime she brings it up, and deletes the pictures from her phone, and won’t allow her to talk about it. What upsets me the most is how rude & dismissive Carlos is about Gaby’s grief. Is it just me or does this sound like bad advice?! This could’ve been a teaching moment for Juanita, and also I don’t think it was necessary to pretend Grace never existed. Carlos, however, suspects Gaby is cheating on him, and asks his mother, Juanita, to visit and keep an eye on Gabrielle. Gabrielle feels that John treats her with love, unlike Carlos who is never there and is unwilling to discuss emotions. The therapist says Grace has to “disappear” from their life for Juanita to heal. Gabrielle Solis is having an affair with her teenage gardener John Rowland. Juanita understands the situation but feels no love for her birth parents, & doesn’t understand why Gaby feels anything for Grace. Then when Juanita finds out about the switch, they take her to therapy. ![]() She got to know her & loved her unconditionally. She ended up having 2 children & discovered her biological daughter was switched at birth. Miscarriage, failed adoption, and the failed surrogacy. She went through the ringer trying to have a kid with Carlos. Gaby never wanted children in the first place.
